RYKO cassette on BASF chrome tape. Silver/ grey ink printed directly onto black shell. Information in English and French. The cover (J-card) can be identified on the RYKO stock releases as the last panel which forms the rear of the box is shorter.

On the inside of the cover next to the photographs the text reads: “For a 72-page commemorative Ziggy Starduat booklet (included in the Limited Edition CD package) please send $5.00 to: Rykodisc, 200 N. 3rd Avenue. Minneapolis, MN 55401. DEPT Z.”

The track sequence has been adjusted from the LP format so that the tracks ‘Lady Stardust’, ‘Star’ and ‘Hang Onto Yourself’ have been moved from Side 2 onto Side 1 to give room for the bonus tracks: ‘John I’m Only Dancing’, ‘Velvet Goldmine’, ‘Sweet Head’, ‘Ziggy Stardust (original demo)’ and ‘Lady Stardust (original demo)’.
