Never Let Me Down: EU; EMI America, 1C 264 24 0746 4; 1987.
White cover with full album photo; white spine and rear panel except lyric panel which are black with white cut and paste style lyrics. Inner panels fold out to reveal album art, personnel and production etc. The rear of the cover panels has the lyrics on them. Printed on thin glossy paper. Track list on rear panels. Inner rear panel shows ‘Marketed etc by EMI and printed in Holland by EMI Services Benelux’. The catalogue number is taken from the cassette; confusingly the covers’ rear panel drops the 1C and the spine drops both the 1C and the 264.
The catalogue number on the cassette begins 1C, this would denote that this is a German EMI issue however the shell also states ‘Made In The EEC’; the shell shows the mechanical rights society – ‘GEMA’, (Germany) only. The rights information is in German on one side of the shell and English on the other; this tape has been classified as for EU distribution.
Silver ink printed directly onto clear smoked plastic shell. ‘Made In EEC’ with GEMA rights logos; track list and ‘XDR Quality System’ logo printed onto shell.
XDR was a process developed by Capitol Records to provide higher quality audio and is the American branding of their original Canadian SDR (Super Dynamic Range) released a year earlier. SDR Let’s Dance tape is available under the Canadian Let’s Dance page.
The track sequence is the same as the original LP.

Side 2: Glass Spider; Shining Star (Makin’ My Love); New York’s In Love; ’87 And Cry; Too Dizzy; Bang Bang.
